A couple of weeks ago, I arranged for a photo session with this girl I met through a modeling site. I bought this old suit from the 50's on ebay a while ago, and had been looking for a model suitable for a little series of retro-style photos. Sadly, it wasn't the best day for a photo session, considering the fact that the rain started pouring right when we ventured outside and it was really really cold. But she was a great model, not letting the weather distract her from making cute poses. The same thing can't really be said about me, I spent most of the photo session being really stressed out by the rain storm. Anyway, some of the photos at least turned out fairly sharp and pretty and here's one of those.
Model: Caroline Å.
Camera: Pentax 67
Film: Kodak Portra 160 NC
Copied on Kodak Supra Endura photo paper
No photoshop, except from some dust removal and colour adjusting due to having the world's lousiest scanner.
Beautiful piece, very nostalgic [like from years ago]. You caught her elegance and poise. Though you described being stressed, I hope that you are proud of this outcome and enjoying how it came out.

Wonderfully elegant and as tinti said, beautifully nostalgic.
It looks like she's waiting for something or someone, a little tense (good thing)
I love the angle of this shot.
love the image. great job and don't let rain stress you out the soft values from a cloudy day make this image perfect and it sets such a nice mood. faving it.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
